How to Use Free Registry Defrag?
This tutorial is to show you easy three steps of using free Wondershare Registry Defrag to defrag and compact your Windows registry, thus optimize your computer speed and performance.

Registry Defrag step 1:
Analyze your registry
Run free Wondershare Registry Defrag, there are two options at the bottom of the main interface: Registry Information and Analyze.
To view your registry information, just click Registry Information tab, and a pop up windows will show you the overall registry size and specific size of different registry files.
To perform a registry defragmentation, click Analyze tab, a pop-up window will ask you to close all running application. You can just click Yes to continue. During the analyzing process, all applications will be unresponsive. The free registry defrag will take about 1 minute to check the level of registry defragmentation.
Registry Defrag step 2:
Review analysis report
Review the fragmentation report and choose an action
The free registry defrag will display a report, and recommend further operation according to the level of fragmentation. You will see specifically how much the registry size will be reduced and the percentage of performance improvement.
Click Defrag tab to start defragmenting your registry. Or click Back to go back to the main interface.
Registry Defrag step 3:
Reboot computer or return
After the registry defragmentation is complete, click “Display Report” to view the generated HTML report of defragmented registry.
Click Reboot to restart your computer for the defragmentation to take effect. If you don’t want to reboot now, just click return to go back to the main interface and close the program if desired. And the defragmentation will take effect next time when you boot your computer.
